Sounds to me like it's trying to start X, not working, and the screen goes blank. Try ctrl-alt-f1 a few seconds after it goes blank. If that doesn't work, reboot the VM and try single user mode, but disable X. -- Kenneth Arnold <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (back to lurking)
