Well, I have rethought this idea of one more rushed round of Ada API changes
before the release. The window of opportunity was narrow (or non-existent)
in any case because any Ada API change needs testing (which takes time), and
if some test showed problems, we would have been in the position of having
to make some last-minute corrections right on top of the release this
weekend which would have made Hazen's job somewhat more difficult.... :-)

So I have decided we should release with the current Ada API, let everybody
with an interest in Ada concentrate on platform testing of my recent CMake
Ada support changes, and Jerry can make the decision about further Ada API
changes post-release when we aren't so distracted by the release.

I haven't yet heard from Jerry about my ideas for changing the API for the
Ada interface to PLplot, but just in case he does decide to make a change
post-release, I have noted the current API is experimental and "subject to
change" in the release notes (README.release) to insure users of this
release don't get too comfortable with the current API.
