Arjen, I have no idea either since you have ommitted most details. Your symptoms sound like the problem I attempted to fix as of revision 7967 (done just after 5.8.0-RC1). If your test was for a PLplot version before that fix, could you try with revision 7967 or later, please? If you still get an error in that case, please give a proper error report (at minimum, PLplot revision, cmake command line, cmake.out, make.out) so we have a chance to deal with the situation before the forthcoming 5.8.0.
