Just to let you know that the plplot 5.9.0 packages have finally migrated into Debian testing, so should be included in the new release. This is a major update. The last version included in stable was 5.6.1.
The new packages include support for octave 3.0, ada bindings and java bindings. Also the cairo driver has replaced the psttf driver. Of course they also include all the new features and bug fixes from 5.6.1 to 5.9.0. This has been a long job due to various problems with java / octave / ada on some of the debian archives. Many thanks to Rafael for helping track down these problems and for sponsoring the uploads. Note that the slightly older 5.8.0 packages are included in the upcoming Ubuntu release. They support far fewer architectures so didn't see all of the architecture dependent problems. Please give the packages a test.
