If possible I would like the updates to plimagefr to go in before 5.9.1. It adds some flexibility to bring plimagefr more in line with the plshade functions, without adding much complexity in the interface. And I would prefer the interface to be updated before a release is made to avoid a released interface change in the future. There are also a few small updates to the OCaml interface I would like to have worked in before 5.9.1 goes out. The current code in the PLplot SVN is based on an older snapshot of the bindings. I have already submitted the plimagefr update to the mailing list. I can submit the OCaml changes in the next few days, though their exact structure will depend on if the plimagefr patch is applied.
