For revisions 10694 and 10695 I committed simple changes (using stride
appropriately) that resolved these svg and wxwidgets (wxGC) issues. I
checked further and wxwidgets (AGG) has no 3D text rendering issues for
example 28, while wxwidgets (basic) has lots of such issues (but I think
this simple variant was never meant to be used with 3D which means these
issues should be ignored).

It is really good to finally get most of these long-standing example 28
issues cleaned up. As far as I know, the current status is that aqt still
needs to be checked, and ps and psttf are the only non-basic drivers
currently known to have 3D text rendering issues with example 28.
