I have followed with something similar (revision 10795) for bindings/tk-x-plat/pkgIndex.tcl.in. Untested. Thanks to both of you for sorting out this particular embedded blanks issue. It is great to take a solid step in the right direction. Of course, there are quite a few more such steps ahead of us for the reason that Arjen articulated so well (users _will_ try embedded blanks in directory names). To see what those issues are, try a build with an embedded blank somewhere in the path to the top-level directory of any/all of the the source, build, or install trees. I found some outstanding "embedded blank" build issues for Ada, D, Fortran95, Java, Octave, and OCaml that way. (I still have some hopes to fix at least the Ada and D ones, but I will need help on the rest.) I obviously cannot check any of those components for run-time issues, but for the PLplot components that build under these circumstances, the only such issue I found with test_noninteractive and test_interactive was the -dev tk one that was just fixed by you guys.
