This morning when trying out the combination of -DPLD_gcw=ON -DENABLE_gnome2=ON -DENABLE_pygcw=ON options (with -DHAVE_NUMPY=OFF so that -DENABLE_pygcw=ON would work), I found bit-rot had set in once again for this deprecated part of PLplot.
[100%] Generating cplplotcanvas.c Could not write method PlplotCanvas.gfci: No ArgType for guint32* Warning: Constructor for PlplotCanvas needs to be updated to new API See http://live.gnome.org/PyGTK_2fWhatsNew28#update-constructors I believe it is a waste of time to try to figure out how to fix pygcw (especially since it requires the deprecated Numeric extension of python). Furthermore, gcw, gnome2, and pygcw have been deprecated for other reasons since 5.9.3, and we did not receive even one question about that decision and certainly nobody has complained about the above build error. Therefore, I believe retiring gcw, gnome2, and pygcw is completely non-controversial so that is what I have done as of revision 10995. Alan __________________________ Alan W.
