Yes. ir...@raven> gdc --version gdc (GCC) 4.1.3 20080623 (prerelease gdc 0.25 20080419, using dmd 1.024) (Debian 0.25-20080616-4.1.2-23.2) Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Debian testing (which I don't use yet) has 4.3.4. There are no bug reports for that at all. Also, in answer to Werner's remarks about gdc being no longer maintained, the above copyright is to FSF, and they have a pretty good track record. Although it appears 0.24 is indeed the last official release of gdc (in 2007), development also appears to be on-going. For example, even the old gdc version above is for the 0.25 prerelease version. > > A further search shows there is a specific issue with this Ubuntu gdc > version > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdc-4.2/+bug/235955 > so it looks like it is just me. Andrew, although I am confident that FSF will keep gdc well maintained (at least through prerelease versions), I don't have that same confidence about Ubuntu. For example, it appears from the Ubuntu bug discussion above that this special Ubuntu+64-bit bug has propagated through several releases of Ubuntu. So you may be optimistic that this is just a passing issue. In any case, please go ahead and warn our 64-bit Ubuntu users about bug 235955 in our release notes.
