With BUILD_TEST=ON try running examples/python/test_plsmem.py in the build tree to generate results (e.g., mem_RGB.png; memcairo_RGB.png; memcairo_RGBA.png; memqt_RGB.png; and memqt_RGBA.png) for all available plsmem(a)-related devices.
