Hi Alan: Thanks for the insights. I have tested PDL-Graphics-PLplot-0.55 with (at least) plplot 5.9.4, I know it works for that release. I've got extensive logic to detect which version of plplot is installed on the machine as I used to support several versions. So, I don't think that is the problem.
