To Arjen and Andrew (and others here interested in doing comprehensive
testing):

Please note the script has now (commit id 61494c1) been substantially
modified to collect all information desired for a comprenhensive
test report so you no longer have to do this yourself.

That collected information automatically appears as the
file comprehensive_test.tar.gz in the prefix directory, and
that tarball contains

1. Environment variable output
2. Script output
3. All */output_tree files
4. A complete listing of all files

So from now on when reporting results of
scripts/comprehensive_testing.sh, please just attach
comprehensive_test.tar.gz to the post so I have the information
required to figure out what is going on whether the script succeeded
or failed on your platform.
