I just built from the current repository on a Mac (OS X 10.10.3) using the
steps from the documentation and did not get any errors.

My build environment:

CMake
version 3.2.2 from MacPorts

CC
Apple LLVM version 6.1.0 (clang-602.0.53) (based on LLVM 3.6.0svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin14.3.0

Lewis, what is your build environment?
