HI Alan
I have looked at the Ubuntu bug and have found the issue. I thought I
had removed all instances of creating a wxFont from the driver in the
console mode side, but I missed one. This causes a crash on wxWidgets
3.0 on my Ubuntu machine for every example.

I thought I had created a fix, but it turns out that I have now
generated a heap corruption, so I need to go back and work out what is
going on there. In addition the fix is not a trivial one liner. (Once
I have fixed it) it will end up having knock on effects through the
wxWidgets text rendering code.

So it is up to you what you think is the best course of action. On one
hand it is a fairly serious bug to let slip through a release, but on
the other it only affects a subset of users and if you want only
trivial changes at this late stage in the cycle then I understand
that. I would be happy either way.

Phil
