Agreed.

In fact, for the whole of the 3.x.y series of releases, I have noticed
that the 3.x.0 and 3.x.1 versions typically have problems so
individual users have to be cautious about using those, and I
typically wait for the y value (the so-called patch number) to get to
version 2 (e.g., to 3.3.2, the last release in the 3.3.x series)
before bumping to that minimum version. Note, it is still early
days for the 3.4.y series; only 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 have been released so far.

So the present status is that outside of Linux and Cygwin where we are
sticking with 3.0.2 as our minimum version (probably for the next
year), the minimum version is currently 3.3.2, and I will stick with
that minimum until you give the OK that bugs 15831 and 15875 have been
resolved to your satisfaction for a finalized release (i.e., not a release
candidate).
