Today I spent a lot of time looking at Arjen's MinGW-w64/MSYS2 plot
results and it turns out that in virtually all cases rendering is fine
on that platform. (See my previous post to this list for details about
the relatively few rendering issues (non of which are release
critical) that show up for this platform.)

The release process is still-ongoing and the hard freeze for pushing
of commits to our master branch continues.
