Sure that would be a possibility, but you could write it yourself ;). You don't 
mention the programming language you're using, but it should not be too 
difficult - all that is required is that you call the putenv() C function to 
set the environment variable from within your program to a value indicating 
that directory. Possibly some more work is needed, as that directory is likely 
to be relative to the location of your program.
