Using OS X Mail, files with names like "*.ss" get the DrRacket logo, and clicking on them apparently sends the file to DrRacket, because I then get the message
The attachment could not be opened: The application DrRacket.app can’t open “snake.ss”. Do you want to save the attachment or choose a different application to open it? I'm guessing that this has to do with DrRacket's handling of certain apple events. John Clements
