Fink is a package manager for distributing Mac OS X binaries, somewhat like RPMs. http://fink.sourceforge.net/ Personally, it sounds like a problem with netpbm. I'd say that Fink doesn't install the latest release (it installs 9.20-1), but then I don't even have the latest release (9.22), which was released on the 10th of December, i.e. a few days ago. Try downloading a generic gif file and running it through giftopnm? I run on Mac OS X, and build all my stuff by hand, and Plucker works fine for me. -Terence
