All requests by us for the MercuryGuide code are referred to Bluefish Wireless for resolution by them. There has been an ongoing investigation between the Plucker team and Bluefish Wireless and Mercury Guide for the use of that code in their products. We cannot say more at this time. As an aside note, the MercuryGuide application itself, Movies.prc, does not appear to be based on any existing Plucker source code, but still contains our CreatorID. Their actual Movies-Content.pdb file however, was built with a modified (or actual) version of our Python parser, and also contains our CreatorID, as seen below: Movies.prc ---------- name: "Movies" flags: 0x1 RESOURCE version: 1 creation_time: 2002-03-27 19:45:27 modified_time: 2002-03-27 19:45:27 backup_time: 1903-12-31 19:00:00 modification_number: 0 type: 'appl', creator: 'Plkr' Movies-Content.pdb ------------------ name: "Movies-Content" flags: 0x0 version: 1 creation_time: 2002-06-13 13:33:58 modified_time: 2002-06-13 13:33:58 backup_time: 1903-12-31 19:00:00 modification_number: 0 type: 'Data', creator: 'Plkr' Until we can verify that their "stub" application, Movies.prc, contains Plucker source code, we are not entitled to that source code.. but we are entitled to let them know, sternly, to stop using our CreatorID in a maliscious fashion. There is no reason for 'Plkr' to show up in their Movies.prc application.. AT ALL. Their "accidental" use of the 'Plkr' CreatorID in their database (Movies-Content.pdb) is somewhat excusable, but their additional use of it in an application which appears to involve no Plucker components at all, is NOT. Do not install this application from MercuryGuide on your Palm, installing it will "block" you from being able to use Plucker through normal means, and removing it will delete your Plucker application and Plucker databases. I hope that helps. d. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9E7HSkRQERnB1rkoRAjqTAJ4opxu9u24N4sn6cMu92XV17oqxBgCgv0Sl LM2UrZ6ZxnSZ6derD0iMZl0= =sCvF -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
