How did you acquire the plucker package? rpm, deb, or download from the website? Also, when you say you installed PluckerDB, what exactly was it that you typed in?.. was it not a .pdb file you installed? Also, did you install the viewer_en.prc? Perhaps when its trying to create PlkrDocList and cannot write it just exits gracefully? :)..
