Some more info is needed. First off, exactly what type of device are you running (it sounds handspring), as well what module are you using for the memory? Pre OS4 external memory wasn't entirely standardized and supporting it is sometimes a juggling act. Also, which version of the plucker viewer are you using?. Earlier versions simply do not have support for VFS (external memory).
