Last night I was on my flight home from Kansas. With my trusty laptop (and a three hour delay in Wichita) I put the final touches on experimental hires+ and OS5-style hires support into the unstable branch.
Before you go all jumping up and down like a 5-yr old on Christmas morning, I have a few caveats for your consideration: 1. The unstable branch contains unstable code! There are several new features provided by several other developers included in here beyond hires+/os5 support. They may contain bugs! 2. I've tested this code on a gamut of Palm Simulators and Emulators to find that it works reasonably well. And although my own device doesn't support hires+ nor OS5, it runs reasonably well there too. Furthermore, this binary should be backward compatible with all other standard devices out there (OS2 and up). 3. I would consider this to be alpha code, as a result do not send me -- or the list -- any bug reports. I know there are bugs (See the Known Issues section for details) but until there is a beta release, consider this binary for entertainment purposes only! 4. For right now, there's only an english version of the binary available. Later I'll get my act together and get the other languages working :) 5. This version does NOT contain support for handera devices. I didn't have time to get this working properly, so its not included in this version. If you have a handera device, use 1.2beta13-hires-1 (link on the site) 6.
