I don't know what kind of shortcuts that were made
when the Visor was created but they don't seem to be
good ones. Last year I spent quite some time
on "remote" debugging (I don't have a Visor, so I had
to send debug versions to a Visor user and get back
debug info) of a similar problem. I found that if the
cache handling is removed the Visor would apparently
not crash any longer. Since Adam wrote the cache
handling he took over that bug report and the last
thing I heard was that he was about to add a
preference option to turn off the cache.

Now, I would prefer to fix the problem instead of the
symptom, but at least such an option would make it
possible for Visor users to run the viewer until the
real problem can be found.

If you go to http://bugs.plkr.org and access bug case
299 there is a viewer without cache support attached
to that bug report. It's a quite old version, though.
