Nope. Just as with the beta packages you are supposed to know what
you are doing if you get the individual packages. I have created an
RPM package for the "normal" (Linux) user. If you are running on a
system that doesn't handle RPMs and you can't download the desktop
package, then you might want to volunteer to create a new installation
script ;-)
The reason I removed it is because it doesn't work any longer (new
stuff have been added to the source tree without appropriate changes
to the config scripts.)
