I wrote a perl script[1] a while back specifically to transform slashdot into a plucker-friendly format. Slashdot's palm content url is, quite frankly, a nice example of how *not* to present content for a PDA. I haven't updated slashpluck in a while, so you will need to apply a patch to get it to work correctly. Email me offline if you're interested and I'll send it to you.
