PRESS RELEASE

Happy 5th Anniversary, Plucker! Just 5 years ago yesterday, Plucker
was released for the first time to the public.

And now, Plucker 1.6 is out, and is the best release thus far. There
are many new features in this release, building on the success and feedback
from users of previous Plucker releases.

What? You don't have Plucker 1.6 yet?

Plucker now fully supports high-resolution screens (such as those
found on Sony [such as the UX50], Handera, and newer Palm handhelds [such as
the Tungsten T2 and Tungsten T3]), virtual graffiti, scale-to-fit, zoomed
images, HTML tables, screen rotation, and more!

        This is a monumental release!

From the Plucker 1.4 series onward, even-numbered releases are
considered "stable", and odd-numbered releases are considered "unstable"
("beta", or "testing", as you prefer). If you wish to test the latest
bleeding-edge features, and don't mind a crash or two, and are willing to
report detailed feedback, use n "unstable" release. If you want to try the
most stable, reliable version of Plucker, please stick to the "stable"
release.

Any bugs you find, please report them in our bug tracker. Make sure
to search existing bug reports for similar errors before posting a new bug
report. Many times, bugs are reported in duplicate by several users because
they didn't search the existing bugs reported for similar problems.

Here is the laundry-list of some of the changes you will find in
Plucker 1.6. There are a lot of new things fixed, added, and changed in this
version of Plucker, so please download it and try out all the new features
and options yourself.
