Does the visor edge not have a reset probe on the back end of the stylus tip? On a visor deluxe if you unscrew the stylus tip there is a short plastic probe designed to fit into the reset hole. I know it doesnt fix the software issue but it might help for those awkward crashes when you dont have a paperclip handy.
