Thanks for the pointer Chris -- it was indeed a problem with the URL (I
had no idea).  I simplified home.html and now it runs without complaint.
I'm very pleased.

I have one issue left.  When running plucker-desktop, after the channel
is updated and the hotsync is complete, the plucker-desktop window and
Channel Update Progress window (100%) are hung with a busy cursor.
Output to the terminal says:
    Installing <whatever>.pdb
    Time elapsed: 0:00:20

No other error messages, and no CPU usage.  It's not critical because I
can ^C the plucker-desktop process, and the .pdb is being transferred
OK.  But if you have any ideas pls advise...
