The point you're missing is that other desktop software (Httrack) downloads the whole 
site without a single problem and that not one of these links is a 404...

I have managed to convert these links to simple ones (like 
/home/george/......./abcd.htm) on my local site copy but Plucker still fails. I have 
followed your advice (-V3) and found that the hickup occurs as follows:

Error:  Runtime error parsing document 
file:/home/george/tovima.dolnet.gr/demo/owa/tobhma9586.html: expected name token
Parsing failed.

Any ideas what this means???
