That is good news. I will add my name to the list of
beta test volunteers (heck, JPluck is extremely useful
but not mission critical so I'll even alpha test).

Three suggestions/requests. First, I hope that the
project can become an official part of Plucker with
direct links on the www.plkr.org page. I don't know
the politics of this but it is a bit confusing to new
users.

Second, once the project is ready for distribution, if
it is not too much trouble, please include an
installer to avoid the questions that periodically
crop up about how to install JPluck.

Third, I would suggest that, long term, a portable
Java implementation of the distiller and GUI desktop
will be more maintainable than separate OS specific
versions. Perhaps the Plucker developer community
could consider focusing on the enhanced JPluck as a
default desktop to, ultimately, replace the current
desktops.
