I am having some problems with Plucker Desktop and switching between using a proxy (at work) and not using a proxy (when not at work).
Whenever I turn the proxy off it never updates the webpages. All I get is something like this:

Initializing Plucker spidering engine...

-----------------------------------------------------------
Updating channel: Yellow Times...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pluckerdir is 'C:\Program Files\Plucker'...
Using proxy '' with authentication for user ''...
---- 0 collected, 1 to do ----
Processing http://www.yellowtimes.org/modules.php?o.....ntGo&file=index...
Retrieval failed: 404 -- [Errno socket error] (10060, 'Operation timed out').
Error: Fetching the home document failed. Aborting all!
---- all 0 pages retrieved and parsed ----
Error: Fatal error while processing. Nothing written.
Installing channel output to destinations...
Setting new due date...
Tasks completed for all channels.

I have read another thread where this same problem was attributed to to the site blocking too many requests at once. I do not believe this to be the case. This happens with any channel. I have tried it at work where I have updated a page via the proxy and then dialed in and tried to get the same pages (and vie versa). It just doesn't work.

My suspicion is that somewhere in the plucker desktop setting the proxy settings are not fully cleared when I go into preferences and turn it off. I have tried clearing the proxy settings via options>preferences and Options>rerun setup wizard. neither seems to help.

Anyone else have this problem? This is the only problem I have ever had with Plucker Desktop and would love to resolve this.

Cheers,
rimez
