Something is definitely wrong, but I don't know what the problem is yet. A long time ago I sent a patch with the same beam-direct-from-card code to the author of Weasel Reader and it still works just fine in that reader... One difference in Plucker is that it also includes code to receive the document, but even if I short-circuit that code, so that the document is sent to Applications, it will fail to beam a document from the card.
