Hi,
I think plucker is great, but I have a few issues, that hopefully you folks can
help me overcome. I noticed 2 "errors" during installation, which may be
indicative of a problem that is causing my other issues. I am on Redhat 9.
# rpm -i plucker-1.8-1.i386.rpm plucker-desktop-1.6.0.0-1.i386.rpm python: can't open file '/usr/lib/python/compileall.py' python: can't open file '/usr/lib/python/compileall.py' #
1) In plucker-desktop, unless I set imags to black/white, I only get the [img]
tag in the palm viewer. I am on a Palm IIIc, and would like to get the 256 color
mode working. I have the viewer set to depth of 8. I saw someone ask for
the locaton of the bmp2tmp utility, but I'm not sure that is even needed anymore
with the latest plucker. I notice that the file size is very small for the .pdb
when I try anything but black/white in the channel configuration, so I'm
pretty sure the problem is on the desktop side.
2) After I hotsync, the plucker-desktop GUI just hangs.
I have tried many times erasing my .plucker directory and starting again, but
I still have these problems.
Any information as to how to fix things would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks, John Miskinis
