Another method: http://dcs.nac.uci.edu/~strombrg/pdftopdb.html It converts each page to an image, builds an HTML document that shows all the images, and converts the HTML to .pdb. It's not great for text-heavy conversions (you end up scrolling around a lot), but I've found it works well for diagrams.
