I wonder how a lawyer could sue if the people who own the license don't
go along with the lawsuit.
It seems the solution would be for another group to look at any of the
source code that has a questionable license and write their own code
that does the same job. Since the US is no longer a free country, they
should be in other countries so the thugs here will have a harder time
threatening or harassing them.

who's going to sue if they shut the project down?
A lawyer who thinks he can make money.
Why accept bad licensing anyway?

moin moin,
looks like TrueCrypt has problems.
Haven't looked at Tahoe-LAFS in a while. Significant
improvements since I
last looked.

There's also encfs, LUKS ( cryptsetup ) and eCryptFS. Collect
them all :).

Today I read at The Register that the truecrypt site
redirects to their sourceforge page, and that has a
statement saying development has been discontinued. I
checked and saw for myself.
I'm wondering if this is for real or if the truecrypt
people have been hacked.

If this is for real, are there any alternatives?
