if you don't want it to overwrite the file, then you could force each file to be unique via something like: -O `date`.jpg Maybe try adding in a -c before the -r and see if that fixes it. I think wget might have a --no-clobber option, but I'd have to check I really was just giving you the 20-second version of help, given that I'm fairly familiar with wget. curl (as opposed to wget) might have the options you're looking for and be able to do this too.
