Today I tried upgrading again from Kubuntu 22.04 to 24.04.  I found Muon was gone.  A bit of research and I found that muon isn't included in 24.04.  Next I tried opening Synaptic to enable all the third party repositories that were disabled during the upgrade.  I was surprised to see that Synaptic didn't show the repositories.  The window opened but there was nothing where the repositories should be.  I found a solution for that, so I'll pass it along in case this is useful to anyone.  In a terminal I entered:

sudo apt-get install synaptic apt-xapian-index software-properties-gtk
