Someone set up a little box with a freshly-installed version of Win XP
that was otherwise untouched, and within 20 minutes of plugging it into
the internet it had been infected with four different things.
I assume there was no firewall? I assume that a good firewall might be
the solution for running win10 after it expires?

completely onto Linux.
Any thoughts on what I might want to do if I need to run win10 after
it's EOL?
