I personally wouldn't recommend it. The concept of an "AI browser" is a data broker's dream. Perplexity would be privy to every site you visit, along with when, how often, how long, etc.

I'm not especially familiar with the product (in fact, this is the first I've heard of it), but I would urge caution, especially if you care about your privacy. Basically, it's like having a browser that's always communicating with an AI backend. Sure, that could be very useful, but it comes at a cost.

Companies are already doing everything they can (legally and otherwise) to collect your data. Don't make it easier for them.

Sorry, didn't mean to rain on your parade. I just think we ought to be very cautious about embracing "AI-powered" products. While they do often offer unique features and advantages, there's a big privacy tradeoff that almost no one ever mentions.
