Look even though Dell is mainstream of all the distro's IMO Ubuntu has the best chance of unhinging Microsoft's grip on the home user. There will still be a learning curve but its a start and a promising one. The 1420 is now listed with the same features as a Windows 1420. A XPS M1330 is still being fire tested and will have full features soon. Give it time and soon Linux can march on Redding.
