Thanks for the offer Matt. This question was actually for our daughter who is home for a visit and doesn't have her usual system resources to do the conversion as she is used to doing it. But the previous suggestion to use 'convert' worked okay albeit incredibly slowly. She is at a much higher level of expertise in both photography and computers than me and uses much more sophisticated equipment. I just use a point and shoot camera. She uses a sophisticated Canon to take 25-meg shots. I use a Kodak to take 1/2-meg jpg shots ;)
