Finally, Sun is rising on the Open Source skies!!!!
The Solaris operating system is being released under the terms of the <http://www.opensource.org/>OSI-approved, CDDL (<http://www.opensolaris.org/license/cddl_license.html>Common Development and Distribution License). Millions of development hours worth of code and over 1,600 patents are being contributed to the open source community.
