Yup, everytime a n00b comes out and asks this, the nerds go off on their PR campaigns... apt is for you, slackware rocks, blah blah blah... What I would say (yep, another blah blah) to people who ask this kinda question: Dude, get Mandrake or Suse, they're very 'luser-friendly' (I use Mandrake myself) but keep Windows around as a dual boot, for times when you screw up your installation and need to check your e-mail now... You can either pay for broadband and download the latest distros and updates, or pay for commercial CDs like those that Mandrake or Suse provide, avoid crap like Xandros, Linspire etc etc (again, when I say 'crap' thats just my opinion/blah) -- "Thou shalt not follow the null pointer for at it's end madness and chaos lie." -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: (plug-mail@plug.org.in) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
