Having the e-books is a great virtue for any active learner - one who reads the book and tests out the code simultaneoulsy - as you might know how the online documentation of most development libraries (eg. Qt, GTK, SDL) help.
BTW, what authenticates an e-book (say PDF/CHM) one buy from an online store? How do one distinguish the e-books bought from, say, safari from am unauthorised download? I've never bought any e-books online :), anyway
