Wireless is a new animal for me.. :-) & I can't pretend there is a fault with the wire or at other end :-) [anyway...] my wireless is **not** working even though there is wireless signal.
"dmesg" shows following... ===================== ndiswrapper version 1.21 loaded (preempt=no,smp=yes) ndiswrapper: driver bcmwl5 (Broadcom,11/02/2005, 4.10.40.0) loaded ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:05:00.0[A] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 19 PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:05:00.0 to 64 ndiswrapper: using irq 19 wlan0: vendor: '' wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:19:7d:bd:72:b5 using driver bcmwl5, 14E4:4311.5.conf wlan0: encryption modes supported: WEP; TKIP with WPA, WPA2, WPA2PSK; AES/CCMP with WPA, WPA2, WPA2PSK ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready ===================== So I think there is problem that I need to fix... Any idea what could be wrong...? I have kept settings as what came on default i.e. "Managed" mode and essid "any" There are bunch of other things which are left blank under wireless tab. TCP/IP setting are done and are *said* to be correct. Thanks in advance... -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: (plug-mail@plug.org.in) List Information: http://plug.org.in/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
