I'd quickly say, ignore the euphemism, a moderator or all moderators
are volunteers and in this case pluggies spending time to facilitate
the mailing list.

When there are lots of decision makers, it takes time.
Today's meeting should let us take a decision.
Comments on this thread would also be taken up if someone can't make it.
