Don't promote tor as a magic bullet - it's not that.
Yes it can make you anonymous, but there are also known flaws and
weaknesses that can be exploited.
The Tor browser is probably even worse as known exploits in the browser
bundle have already been used to defeat anonymity.

Yes, TOR works in the very exact way they claim it to work.
People like Julian Assange trust and use it.
