[plug] User Login

I have a slight problem with user login.  After adding users on my Linux
(RH6.0) box, it only allows root to login via the GUI login (is that called
'xdm'?).  When I try to login other users, the screen flickers, shows the
gray background with the 'X' pointer for a brief moment, and goes back to
the GUI login window.

Can somebody help me fix this?  Thanks.
