# Ah, almost forgot. You have to increase the maximum number of file
# descriptors allowed. Forgot what exactly but check my Linux99 article
# (it's at the Linux99 site) it lists what you need to do in dreary detail..
#
I already go IIF 2000 running. The issues were:
- Shared memory settings (max, min, etc). The values are described in the
IDS_9.2 file in the "$INFORMIXDIR/releases/en_us/<version>/" diretory. I
had to hard code the values in the $LINUXSRC/include/asm/shmparam.h
and $LINUXSRC/include/linux/sem.h files, then rebuild the kernel.
- My original setting uses "ontlitcp" which is NOT SUPPORTED in the
current version of IIF 2000 for Linux. Changing this to "onsoctcp" did
the trick.
Thanks.
